My first initial idea was to have a music video that contained a 'knock-on' effect which would've involved filming lots of different characters all interacting and being horrible to each other in some way and showing how this affects everyone. However, once I began developing my ideas and thinking of people, settings and props that I would use, I then realised that this would be too complex and take too long to film. My second initial idea is the one that I am going along with and will be the storyline for my music video. This idea is that there will be a main character -most likely female as this will be easiest to film- who is going about her everyday life and completing everyday chores and actions but she has depression (linking to the song lyrics) and this is symbolised by the other character who is following her around all the time. The depression character will also most likely be a female and will have some resemblance to the main character as she is a vision of her mind. My music video will contain lots of different camera shots and movements in order to create certain effects and make the audience feel certain types and ways of emotion. The main character will have glum facial expressions with heavy body language as she is struggling with mental health problems and therefore, this affects everything she does. The beginning of my video will contain my own added sound of the main character saying something that suggests she is suicidal and throughout the video, other scenes will back this idea up. Then, the final scene will be the main character standing on the edge of somewhere high up and the depression will be behind her, the main character will fall and the depression will smile.
